Hello,
I’m Collin
I’m a designer who sometimes codes. I’m all about crafting accessible, impactful experiences. I like to take on any challenging project regardless of its size — from web design and build, to product and system design. I’m a Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies and extremely passionate about bringing inclusive human-centric design to the forefront of my work.
I currently lead the design for Grayscale, a unified platform to hire, onboard and retain frontline workers.
I’m originally from Nashville, TN and grew up mostly in Atlanta — now I’m calling Brooklyn home.
My design principles
-
Sweat the details.
Leverage minor details to elevate features into delightful tools. To ensure the same language is spoken to the userbase, make design decisions consistent with a detail-oriented mental model.
-
Challenge assumptions.
It’s easy to become overly confident in personal ideas and opinions — constant removal of my point of view and acknowledgment of cognitive biases throughout iterations and testing can help bring clarity and confidence to the work.
-
Make it all for everybody, always.
Create designs and craft experiences that are universally usable and accessible — journeys can be tailored to the user but should not feel like an afterthought only meant for regulatory compliance.
